Do Less, Earn More

The magic of subtracting

The year has come to an end and you promised yourself a lot of things that you didn’t keep, just like last year. So, if you still don’t have the discipline and strength to do more, like reading more books, starting a business, taking a course, etc., maybe you should start doing less.

Go out less, watch less soccer, movies, soap operas, series, BBB, etc. Gossip, drink and smoke less. Talk intimately with fewer men/women, win over fewer people at the same time.

Actually, stopping many of these things altogether would be ideal, but as difficult as it can be, just by cutting back you’ll already be creating a better version of yourself in 21 days. Without so many things pulling you back.

Every year, you’re behaving like someone in a canoe, trying to cross the ocean. In addition to the current, the cold, and the lack of water and food, you’re carrying 100 sandbags that you don’t need and that only get in the way of your arrival.

So, if you can’t paddle faster and harder to get to land, then reduce those bags: from 100 to 70, then 50, then 30…15…3…1…0….You’ll see that, even without doing anything new, the simple fact of leaving behind what’s getting in your way will make the journey better, less painful, less tiring, and faster.
